Following Ashleigh achieving a BSc in International Hospitality and Tourism Management at Sheffield Hallam University in 2002, she has enjoyed regular interaction with the university’s lecturers and undergraduates through mentoring programs, delivering guest lectures and attending various events. In 2019, Ashleigh was honoured to be appointed as an Entrepreneur in Residence and a member of the Alumni Leadership Circle at Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University.

Just under 20 Entrepreneurs in Residence have been awarded to date and they hail from a range of business backgrounds. They take part in a variety of initiatives including graduate mentoring and delivering masterclasses on topics such as developing marketing strategies and successful pitching, playing a vital role in supporting graduates and recent alumni in developing their entrepreneurial mindsets to create and drive their new ventures. They sit as part of Sheffield Business School's extended network of entrepreneurs and the University's Alumni Circle of business people.

Professor Kevin Kerrigan, pro-vice-chancellor for enterprise at Sheffield Hallam University, said: “The EntRe (Entrepreneurs in Residence) scheme is a brilliant example of business trailblazers inspiring students to create, innovate and take risk. It epitomises Sheffield Hallam University’s real-world approach and commitment to growing future economies in the Sheffield City Region and beyond.”
